GCI for S&P Global Ratings

Risk and Trust Drive Global Change

As the world’s largest credit rating agency, S&P Global understands risk and trust. Creditors trust S&P risk analyses to drive decisions about long-term viability. These decisions have a profound impact on the world and determine the bond rates for governments and enterprises. To maintain customer trust and meet demand for long-term analysis, S&P Global realized the importance of adapting to the next wave of risk: cybersecurity.

S&P turned to RIT’s Global Cybersecurity Institute for the development of comprehensive training to understand and analyze cybersecurity. This included detailed presentations, supplemental review materials, and hand-on practical labs.

I was responsible for managing and directly contributing to a sub-team with six members. We developed review note cards which delivered the most critical information in a streamlined, simple manner. We also created hands-on activities to supplement presentations and evaluate participant performance.

My Impact.

  • Enhanced security communication for risk management employees by designing corporatetraining resources around how security requirements and programs are perceived by customers
  • Halved resource development time through the implementation of thoughtful collaborationinitiatives for remote environments as well as deadline-driven strategic project planning

Projects.

I contributed to the development of several projects, including:

  • Development of review “Smart Cards” to guide financial analysis
  • Creation of hands-on practicals in Cyrin
  • Realignment of presentation content around customer’s needs
